SETUP

➪ Choose the setup option that works best for you.

Running PromptOps with the local runner route allows script execution with your existing CLI tools. To create a specific set of roles allowing you granular control over what PromptOps can see and execute, choose the IAM Configuration route.

Step 01
Go to promptops.com...

Click “Add to Slack” and follow the outlined steps.

Step 02
Once installed

go into Slack and go to Apps > + Add apps from the left-hand panel. Search for PromptOps and add it.

Step 03
Setup Local runner (each user will need to complete these steps):

  • Open your terminal and run pip3 install promptops.
  • After the installation completes, enter promptops runner via command line. This should generate a unique code.
  • Go to the PromptOps app in Slack, and select the Home tab. Select "local runner" as your integration type and enter the code in the provided field.

Ready to use!

This should get PromptOps installed and ready for use

You have two primary ways for engaging with PromptOps.

• You can ask questions directly in the PromptOps app in Slack (select the Messages tab and start entering your question).

• The 2nd option is to add the PromptOps app to any channel you’d like and ask questions there.

Note that if you add it to a channel, then you’ll need to directly call the @PromptOps slack handle when asking a question.

For example:

@promptops Are any pods in crashloopbackoff state?

Please let me know here if you run into any issues getting this running. We’re excited to meet your needs and see how we can optimize further for you
